I have been wanting to get myself a dogtag like this coz military fashion is having a slight comeback and camouflage prints are just everywhere (think Tsubasa in 'Slave of Love' XD). Anyways, Mems and I went to Megamall and saw a shop which sells this and so we went and have our dogtag etched with our names on it. She had 'memsical' on hers and mine, well, as you see it. I already have my fatigue shirt, a gift given by Jen and Lowie on my birthday about a few years ago. A military-green belt bag, which I have just purchased from Kat's collections because Im having a belt bag fetish these days. I only have to get me a military Mao cap and a watergun and this soldier is ready for battle XD

Mems just filed her resignation yesterday. I think the impact to me was more than what Milenio just did. I really don't want her to go that's why I just can't be too happy to wish her well. I even told her that for my own selfish reasons, I wished her medical examinations would not pass the other company's requirements since it is the only thing she's waiting for before she'd make it official. Her reply of course, would be ..."you biatch!" hahaha Mems is one of the few people who can really make me *snort* out of laughter and go crazy with even in the tightest of deadlines. And she would always laugh even at my otherwise corny jokes. When you get tired, your humor sometimes, is failing but she made it look like its the funniest thing she ever heard. I will surely miss her but since she still will be around for the next 3 weeks, Im opting not to be emotional about it and just go about everyday like she's not leaving. But when she's not around, I'd probably be a little quiet. Kanashii da~

I wonder what's with people and moving these days? Snuffles-chan has just announced her temp move to Japan in a few days. Mems is going to a better job in a few weeks (she wishes and we wish for her as well) and ok, I just moved to a new URL. Be it location-wise or online-wise, I hope wherever we go, we still be anchored and in touch with each other. I'd like to think we are the same persons even if our locations may have changed. I said I won't be emotional so I will not be....B.....BBWA.....BWAAAAAAHHHHUHUHU!!!! *nosedrips*

catastrophe

I would have started this entry with a "I'm alive!" because I haven't blogged for days but due to recent happenings in the Philippines, it would be too harsh to say so. We just had a drastic encounter with Typhoon Milenio which left Manila in severe shambles after hitting us at 110+kph. Sending the Luzon island to a massive blackout. I'm actually doing this entry at the office since I'm waiting to fully-recharged my own fone which I would be needing over the weekend. One of the few times that I could get back at my office for all the overtime work. When I left the house this morning, we saw a big mango tree had fallen on the street bringing down our electric lines thus cutting the electricity in the area. We were told that there is a possibility that we'd get our electricity back after 48 hours and that would be by the end of the weekend. I would want to rant about it considering the amount of time I'd be offline but reading the news on the net about people losing a family member or a home from such calamity, I think it would be a shame to even give out a *sigh* coz my problems are not even a tenth of what these people are going through. I am just praying that the government would be doing something soon considering how big the damage Milenio had brought us. Im also praying for recovery to come soon.

Yesterday, I came early to work to finish a deadline due in the morning. I was in a rush that my workmates were surprised to see me come that early. Unfortunately when I arrived, the electricity was fluctuating. Thank God for UPS but still, my computer wasn't able to survive through the ons and offs. My UPS gave out it's last cry before my monitor went black. So Shine just asked if we would want to go to the fotographer's studio to help sort out a truckload of stuff that were pulled out for their supposed shoot. I was too lazy to get home immediately (which was actually a big mistake coz people were stranded everywhere) so we went. At the height of the wind and gust of Milenio, we were travelling from Ortigas to Quezon Ave. and we were able to see fallen lightposts, a bus hit by a big tree and all those billboards taken down by the wind. It never bothered me a bit though except seeing men on motorcycles braving the wind that could just upturn them in minutes. I was so sure my parents would have been in a panic if they knew I was on the road while Milenio was happening so I opted not to tell them when oneechan tried to get in touch with me. I just told them Im going home soon. I only realized how big the damages were when I saw photos on newspapers and on the news. We got back to the office, ate a heavy meal and then headed home when the wind had subsided. That's when we found out how hard it was to get public transport. All the people had filled the roads waiting for one or two buses that's already filled even with standing people on the bus' aisles. Me and Shine were only fortunate to have chanced a private jeep who accomodated us and let us hitch after about 1 or 2 hours of waiting. I left the office at 3pm, got home at 5pm. Soooo damn tired that I fell asleep the soonest I got to bed. I awoke at 8pm to check my fone and found out that Shine arrived home at a later time. All I can say is atleast we arrived home safe and sound. Yes, Im happy that we are still lucky but I'm also saddened by the news of those unfortunate ones.

I decided to do an ANSWERS entry to inquiries posted on my shoutbox (tagboard) at your right. I'll do it as an entry lest Id be flooding it again with replies in 4 or 5 installments and I just recently did. Maybe that is why it's rebelling, kicking out messages when they're supposed to appear XD So this would be everything as of today, 14:41pm and everything that concerns my blog changes at one go.

MINNA, after so much thought, I decided that there is no way I'm gonna fix this blog problem but change the URL. I don't know where to find my template for 'dithersism' anymore and I probably encountered a blogger glitch or something so in order to put everything in order, I am gonna be at dithersanctum.blogspot.com by tomorrow. I will be informing the others who might have gone into confusion over my URL changes through email or tags so you guys won't get lost in the bloggerworld looking for me at dithersism or dithersism-v3. I guess that, much as I don't want to bother you guys to tinker with your templates again, you would have to update my bloglink in your sites or you might be redirected to the phantom of my dithersism blog which I have given up on dakara no updates there anymore. Sorry.

change is good

Is Firefox and IE working against each other or are they just both working against me? Is this a conspiracy? (O..o)

I've been trying to figure out the whole day as to why my blog looks different from an IE browser to Firefox browser which was never a problem to me before. B0th browsers used to display my blog just fine but on Firefox, NOW, its almost all aqua---my entry title, my entry text are in aqua. Ok, I love aqua but I'd like to see the colors I've set for this blog when I check it. Its working fine when you view it on an Internet Explorer browser though but I wouldnt want to be changing browsers every so often just to view it (I've been doing that for the past days. My computer at work has about 3 browsers already: Firefox, IE and this new one, Camino.)

Another dilemma I just discovered is that I have 2 URLs for this. The first is my usual 'dithersism' which you see when you get to my site and then there's the 'dithersism-v3' which will be what you're seeing after clicking on my comments and clicking back to KIMOCHI v3. I would have wanted to keep the first one but comments displays '0' on that when in actuality, there are comments in the entry already. Some of you guys probably found that out when you *click* on COMMENTS. The problem is I dont know why 'dithersism' still displays when its already saved as 'dithersism-v3' on my template. I know for sure that I have one template for this and whether I check on Firefox or IE, they both are saved under 'dithersism-v3'. SOOOO WEIRD. When I try to change 'dithersism-v3' back to 'dithersism' on my publishing settings, I get a "This is already taken." message and I know it is coz it's taken by none other than me but where is that template? I dont see it in my dashboard. REALLY WEIRD!!!

I might need to have a change of my blogsite URL soon even if I'm very hesitant to do it since I loved my current one already. 'Dithersism' says it all (T--T) but I think, right now, I'm not in the position to contradict the thought. I'll just look at the change of URL as the best and easiest option. Besides, it came so timely for my 2nd year of blogging. Don't worry though, I wont bother you with updating my URL in your bloglinks every year of my blogging life. I just need to do this coz Im an obssessive-compulsive person (that, im not denying hehe) and I know doing so would make me more comfortable. Dakara tasukette kudasai minna-san, I want to know if dithersity.blogspot.com sounds ok? It's like 'dithersism' too, both same number of letters and not very big difference huh?! Or how about dithersistic.blogspot.com? You know, dithers + autistic hahaha Me thinks it very fitting *lol* I'm gonna change my blog URL to one of those real soon so just holler "RYOUKAI!" or "ROGER!" in my comments box if you got that and let me know what you think. Besides, I just dont want you guys to think Im doing a Houdini on you if you don't see my blog updated over at 'dithersism' or 'dithersism-v3' URL. A lot of pretty interesting things has happened these past days and much as I want to blog about them, I just cant bring myself to post as I've been busy as well. Will just go about some of them quickly now.

1. Was supposed to have a shoot with this well-known local celebrity who probably thinks herself as the local Miranda Priestley. I heard her list of 'demands' comprised of Evian waterbottles, non-fake jewelries for the shoot and fresh flowers specially tulips among others. We were told before the day that she doesn't want us to wear any colognes or perfumes as she gets nauseous. But I did...well, just sprayed on a little but actually, I was hoping that she'd still feel a bit sick of it and she'd ask me to leave so I could get my weekend break back. If she'd hate my smell then there is no working on a Saturday! YAY! But it pushed through though, only we found out that Ms. Celebrity won't be coming coz she's not feeling well. Good thing that she isn't the only one scheduled for that shoot or I'd wasted my time waking up at 5am on a Saturday. But in fairness to her, she apologized on her show the next day though I missed it. And she expectedly shed some more (waaaay more) light on the 'not feeling well' excuse which was thoroughly discussed on the show like it's a national concern or somethin. For my local friends who are curious of Ms. Celebrity's identity, it's just easy. I think I wouldn't even have to leave you clues but if you're really, really blur, got 2 words for you: pregnancy test.

2. Last week, the Cosmo Bachelor Bash just happened so unexpectedly. I didn't even know it was on a Tuesday! I was so looking forward to going with Mel and Ralphie since we've been planning to go when we went to last year's but then, I only got to know of it on the date itself and although we could get a pass, I opted not to go since it was at Roxas Boulevard which I consider far from where Im gonna come from. That or Im just too lazy to go all the way there just to see half-nekkid men strut their stuff on the ramp while squealing women take out their digicams for souvenir fotos. To be honest, I am just so interested to see the reactions of the crowd coz the women can be sooooo funny specially when they are scampering to get a hold of whatever these naughty boys would throw out in the crowd. And YES, so naughty that one time, someone even threw his man-undies....ewwww. Definitely not up for that so I just stayed far from the ramp. Let the others have a better chance at it XD

I just noticed that this year's centerfold posterboys mostly comprised of child actors-turned-of age men. I dare not think naughty thoughts of them as I've practically seen them grow on the local TV from their kiddie shows and all. Besides, I can't really come up with any thoughts, much so NAUGHTY since I don't take too much interest in them in THAT way. Maybe my thoughts are on somebody else...not in the Philippines which you bet is very likely hehehehehe. Here are the ex-child actors who have managed to land the pages of the Cosmo Bachelors Centerfold released this month:

Stars of 'Tabing Ilog', 'TGIS' and 'Berks' came together. This serves as a fair warning to the struggling teen actors out there---make sure you'd be lifting weights and doing crunches now so you'd be able to still be in the industry in your mid-twenties XD

3. These days, I've been munching on crackers. Not that Im dieting but my savings tells me that I have to. So let me just 'introduce' to you the reason for all the scrimping. I used the word 'introduce' coz now im naming this inanimate object as my tomodachi, Anne-chan, has started doing it to her ipod + ibook and her other gadgets. I will just do it for this one coz Im hoping we'd be together for a veeery long time. Definitely took out a big chunk off my savings but thanks to my otousan who's always been so nice as to chip in on this. I've been meaning to get 'him' since 'he' would be of great help for me. Hopefully, I could do more stuff with 'him'---those money-generating ones are most welcome of course! BRING THEM ON! So without further ado as I could not hold in the excitement any longer....

Yes PEOPLE, there is a good excuse for not updating my blog. I wanted to end my KIMOCHI v2 with that particular entry when it's just about the right time I do this--->KIMOCHI v3.

When I started blogging, I said to myself that I'd try to come up with a new design for it every 6 months. A good creative exercise for me even if it doesn't really stray away far from what I normally do. God-willing, despite going to and fro, coming in to work and going home late nights, I still find ample time to do this. I have been working on it since around July, I think, and I stuck with my old template which I'd probably be tinkering with for the coming KIMOCHI versions in the future ( I really don't know how far I'd go). Coming up with a new layout would take more of my (depleting) extra time so Id rather stick to this, again, for now.

So why grunge and why green? Ok, I just thought it would be a smooth transition from yellow and orange of KIMOCHI v2 since Im using a lil of yellow and orange on this as well. Grunge? I kinda played a bit on the header pic, trying not to make it as clean as my previous headers but hopefully it will still strike vibrance that would give me that genki feeling----the one that would make me want to post away (^..^) I think it's working or that Tackey pic up there induces me to post another already so another post coming right up----fresh and hot!


PS: If anyone out there is viewing from a Firefox or a Safari browser, please let me know if this page displays fine. By 'fine' I mean the title of the entries is orange-ish and the content text is grey. I've been viewing this page on the latest Firefox and it shows my titles + contents in same color of aqua. I just want to know if it is just like that with other browsers or am i missing a plug-in or i needed to do something about it. When I view it on IE though, it looks ok. Arigatou. Hmmm...

PS2: SHUTAKKY, there is a reason why I changed my shoutbox color. Now you know why ^^
